SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Unfortunately we have exhausted our funds for additional scholarship assistance. If we receive more donations, we will contact families from the waiting list. If you would like to send your daughter to camp, please contact the office for more information about setting up a payment plan or availability in sessions.

Camp Hochelaga awarded more than $32,000 in scholarship assistance for the summer of 2008 to girls from all over the state of Vermont, and to a few girls from other states. Unfortunately there were more requests than available money. We are hoping to raise additional money to help other girls have a chance for a Hochelaga experience. Scholarship spots are available in all sessions, and for residential, mini and day campers.

We are very grateful to our partners such as The Turrell Foundation, Vt. Student Assistance Corp., The Trask and Nyborg Scholarship Funds, and many community organizations, individuals, families and the campers themselves! THANK YOU for your continued support!

Round One award letters have gone out. We hope to have additional funds for a second round. Award acceptances are due back to the Colchester Office in early April. Thank you to the 90 families and references who returned their completed applications by the deadline!

Deadline for Round One consideration was March 13, 2008.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Please print the 2008 Camp Hochelaga Scholarship application and enter your session requests.

Please give us both a first and second choice since space in sessions is limited. We may not be able to schedule your first choice so we need alternative choices as well.

Return the application as soon as possible. Applications will be considered in the order received.

If your daughter is selected as a one of the scholarship recipients, you will receive the Camp Hochelaga Information Bulletin as well as additional forms to complete.

If your daughter cannot attend Camp Hochelaga during the session she is awarded a scholarship for, please notify us immediately in writing, so that we may try to change it, or offer the slot to another worthy scholarship applicant.

AWARD PROCESS:

Space in all residential sessions has been reserved for scholarship campers.

Applications will be awarded in two rounds until all scholarship funds are awarded. Applying in the First Round gives you a greater chance of getting a scholarship, if you are eligible, and of attending camp during the session(s) you prefer.

The First Round decisions will be based on review of applications received by March 13, 2008. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility.

A Second Round will be conducted if all scholarships are not awarded in the First Round. If a second round is conducted, it will be on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded.
